March 21, 2018 - As we only see each other on weekends, my wife and I started again our adventure. Around six in the morning, we pedaled our Mountain Bike for a 28.6-km trip to Ocampo Camarines Sur. At the town proper, we stopped by a 7-Eleven store for a quick meal. Another 4 Km from the main highway is an uphill road. Exhausted, that we just walk (hili-hila ang mga bisikleta). We consumed 3 spring rolls and glasses of milk jelly drinks from a vendor just outside the farm. What we saw inside was extraordinarily amazing, a locally raised deer of Australian species that do not shy away from people. You can take pictures while gently holding their back. It was really awesome to see these meek animals in a natural habitat. They just don't seem to mind you. It was worth the trip. The nature at its finest, cannot help but to take pictures of it. The Deer Farm is under the care of the local government. It is a 5-hectares land just located on the lower slope of Mt. Isarog in the town of Ocampo Camarines Sur. If you are a traveler, this place is a must for you to visit. If you are new in Bicol, getting here is easy. Coming from Naga City, at the terminal, you just take a bus going to Goa or Lagunoy. Tell the driver to drop you at the intersection of Ocampo in Bgy. Sta. Cruz just a few kilometers from the town proper, there are habal-habal (motorcycles for hire) that will take you to the farm. You will not regret visiting the place.
